Mr. Twain must have lived in a neighborhood with uneducated cats. In my neighborhood the grammar the cats use is impeccable, their diction is remarkable, and their willingness to repeat their lessons is astonishing.
I believe that cats have a wonderfully developed sense of humor and will forgive anything as long as dinner is served on time and frequently. Re: MT grammar comment, I like the way cats loose all civil conventions when they fight. They are so in the moment.
