    Alcoholics, children of alcoholics, parents of alcoholics–there’s no mystery to us. We know. We suffer. We go to Meetings (12-Step). We persevere. We live. We look in the mirror and smile.

    Ah. Forgot to say: Thank you, Sylvia and Nicole.

    Years ago there was a local cartoonist in a local weekly that I followed through her pre-teen angst and sorrows. One day I wondered if she ever addressed the issue of sexual abuse. And voila, the character’s story that day was her friend in the subtle not-so-subtle position of enduring an adult’s touch in a social setting. Wow. I thought. Wow. You do know.
