Mad For Minis

These two figures are from my collection of miniature doll furniture. In the background are some Minis who’ve taken up residency on top of their bureau. The figures and the furniture are chipped… a bit worse for wear, but beautifully made, with joints that move.

I am also mad for miniature people and furniture. Inspired by Steven Heller I went on eBay and now have many tiny figures in varying degrees of tininess and have to think of an interesting project for them to be part of.

  1. elizabeth says:

I had that man and woman in my dollhouse! I haven’t seen or thought about them for decades–how fun to see them again!

  2. Iwa Iniki says:

I love miniatures; however, when I was growing up, all I had were yarn dolls. I made them myself.

  3. Are there miniatures that stand? Or are posed (like playing tennis or flipping pancakes or ?) I’ve never seen these but there definitely is a good project waiting for them! (I have an old GI Joe doll who could play the part of Gulliver!)

    • Well they don’t stand, but you can glue them to the GI Joe doll with the glue that never moves. I usually glue my hands. I suggest a twissors to place them. I think they would look very funny on the GI Joe. Let me know if you’d like them. I definitely have too many.

  4. these are great! i’ m so far behind in my reading. i’ve missed how you make me laugh.

What do you think about that?
