I do love Chagall…I do not really think much of marriage or the recent discussions about it.

I do think that if one wishes to marry one should be able to marry any one one wants to marry.

And what is “central to child rearing” is love. I get cranky when people talk about family values.

The class issue is interesting. I find it ironic that the Healthy Marriage Initiative takes needed money from children and minority programs to promote heterosexual marriage…is this “central to child rearing”, too? Or do they just believe that ceasing to support these programs will promote marriage?

    Okay, I’ll go now! :D

I’ve always wondered how long it would take conservatives to get their pro-marriage agenda reconciled with their anti-marriage one. And, as far as raising children goes, what kids need is two responsible adults, who share the burdens, of whatever gender or relationship.

  4. Linkmeister says:

I hope the Obama Administration has re-funded those programs from which money was originally taken by the Bushies back in 2002 to pay for the “Healthy Marriage” one.

Never tried marriage myself, but it worked for my parents until the day my father died.

What do you think about that?
