Which statue would the Tea Party think I will see all over New York in souvenir shops?
And in reality, I got to see a Living Statue in Central Park.
Have coffee and donuts with Sylvia & Nicole Hollander
Roz Warren sharpens her writing chops, worthy of Sylvia’s School of Writing. Take the plunge, and add your own suggestion in a comment.
In anticipation for my upcoming trip to New York, I was looking at The New Yorker from March 4. A friend recommended an article on a surgeon who could work miracles with singers who had lost their voices. I looked at the table of contents and it was like one of those cartoons where the character’s eyeballs vibrate in and out! Pierro dela Francesca was at The Frick. The largest show of his work outside of Arrezzo. I called Sharon and John. They were up for it…and John’s sister has an apartment on the upper west side…so I am in New York for this week. I will keep you posted on my doings. Love Nicole and Syl
There are other artists I like in addition to Pierro della Francesca, too.
I love this item. I wish they would find that cookies eaten off the floor build your immune system as well…
An incredible writer, thinker and artist, sent by Mr. Tom, internet gazer.
The artist has two dogs. She fears one of them may be retarded.
She finds a test on the internet to see if a dog is simple. Of course, why else do we live except to look things up on the internet? I felt a little wrong saying: “retarded.” I am sorry. http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/07/dog.html
And then there is the lovely post on her love of cake. Everyone get to choose their God or Goddess. http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/10/god-of-cake.html
I have read this Groupon offer three times now, and I still can’t figure out what a lash perm is. I want one, but I don’t know what it is. Here’s what I think I would look like after my perm.
Oooh, bad bad and awful!!!

Something nice for Monday, for a change.
Honey Bees are dying at an alarming rate, and this winter marked the worst losses by far. U.S. beekeepers reported that as much as 50% of their bees disappeared or died.
Last week, the European Union took a major step to protect our bee population – placing a two year ban on the thought to be responsible – but the U.S. is still finding excuses for inaction. With the health of our bee populations – and the estimated $15 billion in agricultural benefits they provide on the line – it’s time for the EPA to stop ignoring the science, and follow the EU’s lead.
Want to help? Sign this petition urging the EPA to take action now:
